RAT

The following typical threads that plague martial arts sites will get moved here if not just deleted: 1 - My style is better than Your style" - 2 - "Internal & External" - 3 - Personal attacks - 4 - Threads that start well, but degenerate into a spiral of nonsense.

Same thing for English! ;D

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/ ... ref&ch=dic
hippopotamus
1563, from L.L. hippopotamus, from Gk. hippopotamus "riverhorse" (earlier ho hippos ho potamios "the horse of the river"), from hippos "horse" + potamos "river, rushing water" (see petition). Replaced M.E. ypotame (c.1300), which is from the same source but via O.Fr.

p.s. the name is pronounced "buy le when"

If I were a still a single man teaching ESL, I'd move to Myanmar to witness the historical changes happening there, warts and all.

You don't want to know about the warts a single man gets there.
I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.

This is about the third time I have come back from jiu jitsu with a sore throat and wondering if I was getting sick or hit with allergies only to realize that my throat hurts from getting guillotined.

Hate it when that happens.

When they finally "zoom out" far enough and create a complete image of the entire universe, I think it will look like a giant vagina. Probably with teeth.

Maybe you should not listen to your JJ instructor when they tell you that deflecting a penis with your tonsils is valid self defence? Maybe your throat will feel better then :-*
