final resting place for obnoxious and/or disruptiv OTT posts

The following typical threads that plague martial arts sites will get moved here if not just deleted: 1 - My style is better than Your style" - 2 - "Internal & External" - 3 - Personal attacks - 4 - Threads that start well, but degenerate into a spiral of nonsense.

Would that be actually worth more to you than hundreds of people who actually met the guy in person? :-/ Or does he need to sign up with the UFC to qualify your "trustworthiness" requirements?

He's making:

1/ Fairly wild claims about his abilities.

2/ Really easy claims to back up with a simple video.

3/ Money out of rubes.

Dan has the skills he is talking about, I have seen and felt first hand.

As for the video comment, you cant feel body skill, timing, or control of distance and balance via video. For what he does one should visit him in person if you want to know for sure. All I can say is that regardless of how you want to take it, he can do each one of those things he listed.

See, my problem with that is, every one of the "many" MA teachers that Dan has "crossed hands" with and written off as "not getting it" is going to have a group, large or small, of students, each stating that their teacher has the goods.

Sure, -- but then this also happens. Very rarely/almost never, but apparently it does.

Say it to my face. Actually I am downplaying it.
I promise that like the bjjer (18 years in bjj and MMA) last year, I won't knock you out either...well I choked him out...in fron of about 40 people, but while I hit him about 30 times and marked him up I didn't knock him out by choice till he quit...I will be just as nice to you and accept your apology.

Maybe I can come to you.
In either case stand in front of me and open your mouth.

In the mean time get off the thread. It isn't about me and trolling it should be picked up by the mods. If you don't have any names to offer that we can explore in a positive manner, then hit the road.

Then you need to change the thread title.

Bodywork wrote:
1. Internal strength and being known for weird power
2. Aiki- or the use of jins in an unusual fashion different than a normal grappling feel
3. And fighting with it. At least heavy sparring with knockouts and submissions.
4. Who here has taught and given demonstrably unusual internal strength and fighting skills to other men? Not one or the other-both?
5. Who here is accomplished with a broad range of weapons and who has acknowledge them as accomplished....besides another class mate.

I take it you are implying that you can do all you listed. Now personally, I think you can't.

Liokault .. I've felt Dan demonstrate most of the above... i haven;t seen him with weapons or with ground rolling

Looks like he is agreeing to meet in a few weeks. I don't know whether it is with gloves or without but it should be fun.

Liokault,

Bring a camera. I would love to see regardless of how it goes down.

Guys
After his recent P.M. the nature of this has changed. There is no need to discuss the particulars here. Ray, want to come over for this one?
Let's return to the topic.
