Re: political correctness. I always want to hear something that people say political correctness is preventing them from saying. The guy in the video hesitated to say the c-word and the p-word (though the reporter had no problem). Is it really about certain words or how those words are used. For example, a comedian might make a joke containing a line like "and he put the Jews into the ovens." Many people would find such a joke tasteless, offensive and even cruel. Ok, it would probably be considered politically incorrect to make such a joke. Otoh, someone would argue that we have free speech and it was only a joke. ("And he chucked out the Mexican" --if you remember that one). However, if a politician would stand up and say that I'm going to put Jews into the ovens, imo it is no longer a question of political correctness. So, I always want to hear an example before I say that it's "destroying the country." It is hardly a question of making offensive jokes.

But, this is a joke thread, so ...

I agree, I think it clearly shows the differences between the two parties as far as this current election anyway which is also why I believe there are Republicans speaking out that is to say he doesn't represent all of "us" on the other hand he clearly represents enough to have received the nomination.

I'm impressed 'cause I don't think I would get very many kilt jokes.

It's just really a joke. There are stereotypes, but it's funny. I'm not sure if a Texan would be offended :)
