26 perished servicemen of the 810th Marine Brigade of the Coastal Forces of the Black Sea Fleet (Sevastopol) were delivered from Syria to Sevastopol, the Ukraine Defense Ministry website reported Tuesday.
The Russian fleet has registered mass incidents of infectious diseases of Armed Forces personnel in Syria, because the Russian command finds it impossible to ensure suitable sanitary-and-hygienic conditions.
Units of the Armed Forces of Syria with assistance from RF Aerospace Forces continued attacks in Aleppo, Damask, Latakiia, Hama and Homs provinces. As a result the Syrian government army has established control in a number of settlements in the Aleppo region. Over the past 24 hours, Russian aviation forces completed 33 sorties in Syria and attacked 49 targets using missiles.
RF Armed Forces command continues to make arrangements for intensification and providing bases for its own troops Syrian territory. Over the past 24 hours, the lifting-and-mooring vessel “KIL-158” of the Black Sea Fleet passed through the Bosphorus and is moving to Syrian coast.
The Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday issued the following statement: “Due to reports by foreign media about the alleged deaths of Russian servicemen in Syria, we declare: there are no casualties among members of the Russian Armed Forces in Syria.”

I've seen quite a few Cossacks, but they are not military and are quite likely Ukrainian. Professional movement and Russian weapons seem to be thrown around a lot by media as some sort of evidence, but not the fact that both Ukraine and Russia have conscription, so many men would have military training and Ukraine manufacturers a lot of so called Russian weapons. Not to mention very close resemblance in uniform of almost all former USSR republics. Furthermore much of the Ukrainian spec ops Berkut are pro-Russian and are present in the East as they were ousted from Kiev.
There are currently many video reports being aired on BBC, Sky, Al jazera etc airing footage of interviews and with the protesters, old women, teenagers and miners, don't really look like professional soldiers, and the soldiers being shown are certainly not making any attempt to hide themselves.
Anyhow, the Kiev gov has said it has direct evidence of Russian involvement and will present it to the UN, though they have said that a few times already. Let see.

It makes perfect sense! Russian soldiers, who are apparently not in the area according to Putin's official statement, would be lining up to get group shots for the press!
