OK, I'll bite. What is the key method to actually develop internal power???????

(I feel this thread could go on for years unless we just get down to it...)

ok, Dan
If I may ask you - how to measure the dantian development?
Give me scale , please,
so I will be able to tell you were my 20+ years of breathing are

- nothing against any given method so far,

btw, from my experience "unusual power owner" are good trained athletes in their training peak.

This Dantian development, should be movement coming from the dantian or waist (yao) and it feels more like there's a 陀螺 tuóluó (gyroscope) inside and supporting the movements of the limbs and body. It's not like any other sport as far as I know. And it doesn't peak it only gets more refined and powerful as you practice.

I have an honest (non offensive) question, and would ask the same to you in person, why is it neccesary to be so secretive and obscure on purpose and at the same time being kind of arrogant about your training? The gracies for example were arrogant too, but at least they did try to prove their superiority. What use is there if you are arrogant and (maybe very very good) and secretive at the same time?
What do you want to achive with this?

Dan,

I have the same question as Patrick. What do you want?

If you are trying to achieve more people attending your seminars then your current approach might be working (I don't know), but it doesn't make for easy conversation on RSF if you keep talking about something, but when asked what it is you don't really want to talk about it ( for free... )

b.t.w. I have an Aikido guy I used to teach some stuff to that goes to your seminars in the UK. I guess if I really wanted to know I could ask him ;D

As for me, I'm just happy to roll on the mats always seeking to improve my technique. I learn every day, and that's good enough for me.

I'm not looking for anyone. I have too many people as it is. I'm not the only one teaching internals. I make recommendations to people to seek out those teaching internals all the time.
I am... for... awareness, that this training is real and it exists.
If I wanted to "market" myself... This would NOT be how I would do it.

The explanation is NOT what Sam is doing. Two things are important to consider here.
1. The explanation given would need several corrections in key areas and ....still....would not produce "body unification" of any meaningful way any more than golfing.
Instead of being impressed? Why didn't... you.... Spot that?

2. Key methods to actually develop internal power were not even mentioned.[/i]

It's quite true -- I have been worse than sloppy and incomplete in trying to articulate things that I myself am working on.
Every internal art that has ever openly described the key elements that separate it from conventional movement and power generation has pointed to the cycle of dantian and mingmen as the heart and lungs of internal power. It is supported by the potential energy created by torsion and connection to the ground, and alignment and structure provide the pathway for the transmission of force.

Hi Dan,

Would you mind posting a list of those you recommend? It could be helpful for people looking to understand.

Many thanks.
Chris.
