some of his history

his live demos, he seems to move well

notice its not the same as depicted in most demos of the work.
would be interested in reading other thougts

at 8:05 the student explains why and what he feels.

very interesting in what the student describes and the teachers explanations for whats happening.
this is one of the fist clips, I've ever seen published where the student explains and the teacher explains whats happening according to
their view points.

edited: its not his students its a local karate club doing the demos...

These guys also described what they felt, and it was all real and worked on them...

...until these guys showed up to test (after one of the YB proponents had challenged them to come and test it, online at rec.martial-arts newsgroup).
Then all of a sudden, to those students' and teachers' amazement, none of it worked:

Questions I would ask:
1) Why?
2) Based on the evidence above (and many other similar examples), is this type of practice a worthwhile time investment for an MA practitioner (compared to other, more "earthly" things they could be working on instead)?

seen the clips before and others like it.

compare the clips with the teacher I had asked about and see whats different

IMO for the fails and there are others they never seem to develop a connection with
the subject for what ever reason. In the clips you posted the timing is off.

there are no clips of "IP" that you experienced but dont talk much about .
what would it look like?

why start off asking about the fails and not about the ones that dont fail?
you say many similar examples but compared to the examples where it works its a small number.

Based on evidence as you say for others it is something that does work and is something that they can feel.
why ignore one in favor the other proving your own conclusions.

a good question.

It would seem that "they" find some value in the practice and so pursue it.
whether its worthwhile or not depends on what one finds in it.

The evidence of fails as you mentioned is quite small, what you dont mention is that all the people there also had to prove it for themselves and found it to be real.
if 50 people found it worked on them 3 people dont what would you say ?

indeed what evidence is there that CMA works in gen in a live setting ?
Here on RSF there are many fails posted, but somehow everyone knows it works or
some one who can make it work its just never filmed.

its demo but watch his timing and the reactions seems like a lot of " earthly things" being used
in a skillful way.

That's exactly the case with the test I posted... it's all about context. If you want something badly enough, you'll likely get it.

Not to equate the two, but consider, say, coming to a member of the Heaven's Gate group and suggesting that they'll never board that comet and what they believe and actually feel is bogus. They'd probably pity you for not seeing the light. If you're an outside observer though, things look very different. Personally I'm willing to venture a guess that they didn't board it, after all -- but that's just me.
