It is interesting that the same party who says the people are taking advantage of the system (thereby destroying it) will be electing a man whose whole life is about taking advantage of the system.

I was watching the Trump campaign trying to spin the tax issue and the whole thing is laughable coming from the man who asked for Obama's birth certificate and report cards.

Oh, the tax thing. You mean his complaints now that it's disgraceful for someone to be hacking personal records? (After he suggested that Russia hack the DNC). Or, do you mean how his surrogates explain that he did nothing illegal, and that every American would like to pay no taxes? Or, was it his claim that he can "fix" the tax code? On that point, I wonder whether he means that everyone will be able to pay as little as he does, or that he'll be able to get a refund? Well, because, if it was smart of him to pay no taxes, it would be even smarter to get a refund like many of us (who pay taxes) do. It's true. I'm jealous. I wish I could pay no taxes.

Now, the tweets about adultery and pornography are great comedy. To hear people cheer for "You know, I don't think that HIllary's been faithful to Bill" is jaw-dropping lmao funny when the speaker is a serial adulterer, quasi incestuous, chump who brags about his female conquests in and out of marriage. And, they just eat it up, even the evangelists.

Using his own logic and explanation that he has an obligation to take advantage of tax loopholes (or he'll be sued as Giuliani is arguing) to make the most money possible for his family, employees, business and investors then it would be perfectly logical for corporations to send manufacturing overseas.

According to the my Teamsters newspaper, Trump has made it clear that he fully supports "right to work" and wants to destroy all the unions which again would be the logical thing to do for a man like him.

That reporter held his ground well.

Trump supporters seem to bring up that doubles standard that people don't like Hillary but I don't dislike or like her because she's female, I like her personal history and story and see her as any politician. The fact that she is female and may be a president in a country whose founding fathers purposely excluded women from power is just another big plus. The fact is if Hilary were a man she would get a free pass on a mistakes she has made much like Trump does but not paying any taxes as just as bad, if not worse, than having all your products made overseas which is what Trump does already but being a man his supporters still love him.

The guy is just a series of emotional appeals and catch phrases. His attitude about substance in policy is to denigrate it as minutiae and then personally insult the interviewer who made him strain his brain for a few seconds. His previous bits against the interviewer were he doesn't like The Young Turks, then "you lefties", and he was probably self-censoring at the end when he called him short because I got the feeling he wanted to say, "And you'll get yours real soon."

In the debate, it appeared to me that Clinton knows what she's talking about on many topics, but she's got some confusion on Syria and global terrorism. She sounds totally different when she's addressing that. I think someone's done a number on her and she's got a personal deal of thinking she can be an expert on everything and she's been led down into some kind of maze on bits of foreign policy.

Trump on veteran suicide: Some aren’t strong enough to ‘handle it’
Speaking before veterans on Monday, Donald Trump was asked about suicide rates among America’s veterans. He responded that some people were not strong enough to handle combat. “When people come back from war and combat, and they see things that maybe a lot of the folks in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it,” Trump said.
Speaking at a Monday conference for U.S. military veterans in Virginia, Donald Trump suggested those who suffer from posttraumatic stress disorder when they return from war are not as “strong” as those who are able to “handle it.”
“When you talk about the mental health problems, when people come back from war and combat, and they see things that maybe a lot of the folks in this room have seen many times over — and you’re strong and you can handle it — but a lot of people can’t handle it,” the Republican nominee said while taking questions at the Retired American Warriors event in Herndon, Va.

This is fun! Next he'll rape a kitten or something, and it'll still be OK with his supporters. Nothing will slow his poll numbers down. Nothing! ;D

do you mean like the guy who asked the question

Chad Robichaux, a Marine veteran who asked Trump the question about PTSD,
also released a statement defending the candidate’s response.

“I think it’s sickening that anyone would twist Mr. Trump’s comments to me in order to pursue a political agenda,” Robichaux’s statement said. “I took his comments to be thoughtful and understanding of the struggles many veterans have, and I believe he is committed to helping them.”

In July, Trump unveiled a 10-point plan to help U.S. military veterans. Topping the list was a pledge to improve their mental health services, in part, to “put the unnecessary stigma surrounding mental health behind them and instead encourage acceptance and treatment.”

Well, personally, I don't think he meant it the same way that he meant his comments about prisoners of war (like McCain) not being heroes. I don't think his words were twisted, but I also think that people are taking the worst connotation of his meaning. But, one can certainly take it in a better light. It is true that some veterans succumb to ptsd. However, the reason is not the lack of drugs. The problem is war. Trump was making the argument that combat vets were committing suicide because of the failures of the VA. Saying that on one hand, then saying that we need to commit more troops into combat is sickening, too. But, I think it's better to be outraged at his unambiguously outrageous statements.
