Going to learn Cho Jiao

The following typical threads that plague martial arts sites will get moved here if not just deleted: 1 - My style is better than Your style" - 2 - "Internal & External" - 3 - Personal attacks - 4 - Threads that start well, but degenerate into a spiral of nonsense.

if somebody is flexible as a chick from "Pussicat Dolls"
doesn`t mean that he is good in fighting or as the teacher,
of course, some extra flexibility is always handy
but
speaki`n of flexibility :
i would like to see how his "toes kiss the shins"
as an demo

however,
before full raport by Overlord any judgement is impossible

LOL. Thanks for posting!

Overlord:

When you visit his school, and are working your front leg round kick/backfist combo, make sure you keep a close eye on your shirts...someone seems to have ripped all Master Max's sleeves off.

(And if you could find out what shampoo he uses I'd be grateful as hell: My locks are not nearly as long or as golden as his, but this dandruff is killing me!)

Have not attend the class yet, sorry to disappoint you guys.
Currently, just helping out editing Shurangama Sutra putting Chinese/English together.
And summit for the sutra. Wont finish till end of July.
Keep you guys informed August.
I barely know front kick well. Cant stretch well. But I be sure to ask what kind of shampoo.
From what i know, Master Max practice his style of qigong a lot. Maybe that is why.

If I'm going to live my life over again, I'll learn this style. My teacher told me that in the 1933, the 2nd Ultimate Champion Fight in Nanjing, there were most Cho Jiao and XingYi guys. I always have a lot respect to people who trains these 2 styles because their courage that willing to test their skill against other styles. I believe in CMA, Cho Jiao has the best kicking training. It's the only style that can compete with TKD as kicking skill is concern (just like the XingYi may be the only style that can compete with boxing).

Sorry, John - this guy teaches chojiao (搓脚), not chuojiao (戳脚) ;D (see page 3 of this thread for details)

It is true that chuojiao is quite a cool style, though - seems that there are a lot of chuojiaofanziquan people in Beijing, for example. Lots of great kicks, many of which are not in taekwondo (such as yuanyangjiao); as a result, some xingyiquan styles (i.e. Che style from Bu Xuekuan) and many baguazhang styles tried to absorb the kicks of chuojiao as well.

I would agree that the "leg specialists" of CMA would be the chuojiao folks.

It is rather hard to find a chuojiao teacher, though, I think (I don't think anyone taught chuojiao in Taiwan, for example).

Interesting that chuojiao people were as interested in fighting as the xingyi guys!
