France vs. USA

The following typical threads that plague martial arts sites will get moved here if not just deleted: 1 - My style is better than Your style" - 2 - "Internal & External" - 3 - Personal attacks - 4 - Threads that start well, but degenerate into a spiral of nonsense.

In all earnestness I've been looking into retiring to Italy recently for many of the same reasons as you, Ken. I'll probably have to go alone, however. The wife won't leave the US for *any* reason. She may be of Italian decent, but, sadly, she doesn't speak anything other than English, and has no desire to. I'll probably just end up relegated to my greenhouse behind the garage. :/

Perhaps a week or so on the Amalfi coast would change her mind? I know it nearly swayed me towards settling there.

Just don't a serious illness in any of these countries unless you can afford to come back here. Socialism is the great equalizer. No one can get health care. Stand in line and wait to die.

This argument keeps getting repeated all over the internet by gentlemen of similar persuasion to mr. Buddy. To add insult to injury, these gentlemen never bother to produce any factual data substantiating their position, but feel fine simply repeating the same party line over and over, even in the face of people with actual experience living in so called "socialist countries" without ever encountering the dreaded queues of dying people. Experience, which gentlemen like mr. Buddy sorely lack, though this doesn't impede them from spreading mindless propaganda like it were the god-given truth.

So I'm sorry if calling mr. Buddy a "fuckin' twit" offends anyone, but it's the best description I can find for someone who confuses the "argumentum ad nauseam" with an actual debate. Of course, I could be too harsh, the man sees dead people, so maybe we should just call him "special" instead.

There is a fundamental difference between expressing an opinion, educated or not, about something, and calling someone a name. The former is but an opinion; the latter is a personal attack, or using more official terms, slander.

Learn the difference, and stay away from the latter.

Never happen, Ken, *extremely* sad to say. She won't move away from the kids. Chicago is as far away as she'd move from Detroit. Her family is there. I'm gonna be buried in that damned greenhouse...... Behind the garage...... In the very back of the yard where the dogs poop. :-\

Uh... body odor? :D Why so?

France is sounding like a pretty nice place to live now (except the big cities, I mean).

Leave my genitals and your weird fixation for them out of this. Still no real hard arguments I see? Keep on trying.

Buddy what the hell are you talking about? The US does WORSE than the UK, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Italy, Spain, Norway, Greece, Austria, the Netherlands, and Denmark in terms of life expectancy AND infant mortality rate. You're just blatantly making things up.
