Sprint wrote:Your mission statement doesn't seem to resonate particularly with what you just wrote.....What happened to peaceful, prayerful and loving intentions...?
What a hoot! Nothing happened to these intentions, Sprint. I find that maintaining peaceful, prayerful and loving intentions is made much easier with the addition of a playful sense of humor. Sorry you missed the point!
Doc
Ah I see, how stupid of me! So your recent hissy fit over at EF.net.... that was just you being ironic. Dude, you're a "hoot".

Dude, you are obviously confused. I don't recall any "hissy fit", but whatever, man.
However, I do have my own my personal opinions like every one else, which just is what it is, and it isn't always what some people want to hear or necessarily agree with....like you for example.
But that's cool! These forums would be utterly boring and no fun at all, IMO, if everyone agreed on everthing. And so...I totally honor your right to defend completely wrong opinions if you want to.
See what I'm saying? Just playful humor, man. It don't mean nuthin'....nuthin' at all.
Mike Strong wrote:No Grahamb, the third level of Kong Jing training hasn't disappeared, - it is mereley out of YOUR grasp.
Why?
Because you are a dualistic, Aristotelian, materialistic thinker, - your mind is bound by The Law of The Exluded Middle.
Fair enough. I don't disagree, - after all, X exists, or X does not exist, - this is a common sense, rudamentry view of the world.
BRAVO !
I understand that if it can't be catagorized or measured, - then X does not exist, ( for you, - but not for me ).
Your mind has been programed to think like an Aristotle, - you can't help it.
I don't know why, - but my mind is more flexible than that, for some reason I think like an Aristotle AND a Nagarjuna, that is to say, I except the first two lemmas of Aristotle's dilemmic logic, but I go further ...
... :
X exists
X does not exist
X both exists AND does not exist
X neither exists NOR does not exist
I know we will never agree.
I know that you think I am "DELUSIONAL".
That is alright with me, - because I think you are half-RETARDED !
If you think your training methods are bringing you the kind of results you want, - then more power to you.
You train your way, -and I'll train my way.

I have no idea what the f*** you just said, but it sounded cool.
Can I have some of what you're smoking?
Agressively We all defend the role we play Regrettably Times come to send you on your way
We've seen it all Bonfires of trust Flash floods of pain
It doesn't really matter Don't you worry it'll all work out No, it doesn't even matter Don't you worry that ain't what it's all about
We hope you enjoyed your stay It's good to have you with us Even if it's just for the day
We hope you enjoyed your stay Outside the sun is shining It seems like heaven ain't far away It's good to have you with us ...Even if it's just for the day
It's good to have you with us Even if it's just for the day Outside the sun is shining It seems like Heaven ain't far away

The Shen Men Tao Mission Statement is to approach the various practices of the System from a peaceful, prayerful, meditative place inwardly, and to allow that state of mind and heart to thereafter permeate the practices outwardly. The practice agenda is to combine and unite the complimentary opposites of Yin (-) and Yang (+); to 'center' and 'ground' these energies to establish a firm root; to then elevate the united, rooted energy and present it openly to the world with peaceful, prayerful, loving intentions for the benefit of all. When mind and body are successfully joined together in mental intent and physical function through the training methods, the resulting Union is the Key which opens the Spirit Gate or Divine Door (Shen Men) and allows the expression of energy far surpassing that of either mind or body alone.
Doc - I think my energy twin likes the sound of your Shen Men Tao - how much for her to come to your class? Don't worry about the distance, she can astral travel - you won't even know she's there... or maybe you'll just feel a presence you haven't felt in a long time, you know, like a disturbance in the force.

Ha! Ha! There is of course no fee for energy twins, since they really don't take up any usable space or require any real physical effort on my part when present. But this "presence you haven't felt in a long time....like a disturbance in the force" that you refer to...is it like a bloody nightmare then, or like seeing an ex after a long time without contact, and both of those are often much alike, or what exactly?
If you say things in the form "x AND NOT x," you limit the statements you can make to surface contradictions
that attempt to point to something beyond the statements themselves, rather in the manner of a gong-an (koan).
This is a difficult mode of expression, and a very uncertain way of communicating anything. (By the way, this
isn't an East versus West thing. Aristotle merely defined the difficulty inherent in contradictory statements,
he didn't invent it. Every mind in the world is arrested by contradiction, which is why gong-an type expression
works--to the extent it can be said to work at all.)
I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.
