If anyone ever wants to set up a serious Chinese martial arts forum please let me know. I would be happy to help...but this ain't it. Fong, Ashe, this is nothing personal gentlemen, I am 100% you guys are trying to do what you think is best for the forum....but, as the locals say, zai jian.

In my experience "serious" martial arts forum discussions have the same amount of signal to noise ratio and tend to vacillate to either extreme...either not much dissent and therefore not much information exchange or the other end...see bulshido.
Until martial artists cease to be clannish, elitist type A fuckers, then this is pretty much as good as it gets...everyone is basically friendly...really egregious behavior is stamped on, and people can ask pretty much any serious question and get several different and many times equally valid different interpretations of what works and what doesn't and that will serve the discriminating reader a chance to continue working on his own little martial journey.
S- just sayin

If you're easily distracted or insulted, or are browsing in presence of kids, etc., the solution is quite simple and kind'a obvious -- stick to the main forum, don't go to OTT or BTDT.
