Ving Tsun training in France

Postby Sean on Thu May 18, 2017 12:22 am

I haven't posted here in a long time, so here is a come-back offering! A short video of some of our recent training sessions here in France.
Still trying to bring Ving Tsun into the 21st century, as it were, with modern pedagogy/training methods, cross-training/sparring and participation in competition.

Thanks, man!
Guy at the end is one of our friends from the local MMA school. He comes by now and then for some extra training and sparring.
Really nice guy despite his scariness. Very open minded as well. He's always looking for some new techniques to use in competition.

Very nice clip, Sean!

I especially liked the clinch, transition, takedown, and side control at 0:48. It's awesome that you and your guys are working different ranges and different levels.

Thanks for sharing,
Greg

Thanks, Greg!
We were going over some standard takedowns from the over/under clinch (lateral drop, knee block, ankle pick, etc.) with Tim when he was here in March. I always try to integrate what he shows us into our training.
