Any concerns about unintended consequences, such as a constitutional convention leading to other changes totally unrelated to gun control and gun safety?

Well, I guess that could pose a problem, unless it's another improvement.

My cynical opinion is that a constitutional convention would be a huge shit show because Congress has massive issues.

Is the article saying the shooter had one degree variation that is equal to the 15 degree range of fire to target the concert? Or is he just saying that on the edge of the 15 degree range from the point of firing, one degree outside is a miss?

And that if he shifted two finger widths' he would be outside the 15 degree arc needed to hit the concert field? That's actually pretty damn tight, and the ballistics expert emphasizes how much training a person would need to set this up and carry it through successfully.

“So he had to be pointing or aiming at the very center of mass and then bouncing all over with the recoil.”

Sounds like he's saying that because of recoil, the rifle would have to be kept aimed very tight into the center of the concert at all times in order to fall within the "beaten zone".

He said that the shooter just aimed for the center of mass. Iinm, the video posted about the inaccuracy of bump stocks was to suggest that they would have made hitting the crowd difficult. The article states that police found at least one bipod or shooting stand. Afa aiming, how many of his rounds missed the crowd? He had thousands. If only a tenth of them hit the crowd, that would be enough.

Ok, say that someone would need training or practice, it won't solve the problem that anyone can try to do the same thing.

Small thing, but the bump stock video I posted was just about bump stocks in general, that, in general, they decrease accuracy. Is that applicable to the LV massacre? Which of the guns used had bump stocks? Has not been revealed, probably not relevant, it's just that bump stocks were getting a lot of attention.

Afa the second amendment, Justice Stevens suggested that there was no need to repeal it, all that needed to be added were five words. "“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the Militia shall not be infringed.”"

English is not my mother tounge, but the second amendment clearly seem to mean "the people" as a group, not individuals. It's the country that should have arms and the people as a group should be able to protect the country from outer threat. The militia is something you have to protect the country from outer threat, not something intended to use against the own people. :-\ So the suggesten to use "people" to mean individuals instead of as the group who makes up the country, seems to just makes the problem worse.

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

It seems obvious that the intention of "people" is meant as the people as a group to protect the security and freedom of the state. Why do americans believe that the amendment gives them the right to walk around with guns in the street or have machine guns in their homes? :-\

Bao, the right to bear arms doesn't apply to Canadians or Mexicans.

Tucker Carlson of FOX raises many questions about the Las Vegas shooting investigation and Jesus Campos, the security guard at Mandalay Bay shot several minutes before the alleged shooter, Paddock, opened fire on the crowd. This is mostly an opinion piece, but with two pieces of reporting: Tucker says he was leaked a report from Customs and Border about Campos entering the USA from Mexico and that the Clark County Sheriff's office refused to answer any questions about Campos' credentials as a licensed security guard.

Questions about the security guard have persisted. Originally, the police reported he was shot during the massacre, then several days later corrected the time line that Campos was shot before 6 minutes before the crowd was fired upon. Carlson summarizes many of these prominent questions regarding the shooting, summing it up by saying the details of the investigation become murkier by the day.

Same thing happened after Sandy Hook. Alex Jones and others still tell the parents they're lying.
