Starting @ 3:12, this can be an example of deception: controlling (leading) the opponent without him knowing it. The officer uses a fighting strategy to take the opponent into custody. Make the opponent do what the opponent wants to do, without him knowing it. Then, finish him.

The officer takes a quick step backwards to avoid a punch, then he slows his pace down (setting rhythm) while continuing to walk backwards just outside of punching range (controlling distance). This distance and pace gets (lures) the opponent to swing at the officer. But, the officer is just outside of reach. The opponent believes he is in control (deception), lulled into a slow place, continuing to swing at officer. At 3:21, the officer times the opponent's right hand, catches the opponent’s arm, uses opponent's momentum, pivots quickly on his right foot (broken rhythm, timing) and finishes with a throw to the front left corner. -bow-

Okay looking at it again, it's most likely staged. I didn't really watch the second guy and the end where they just sit down, without cuffs.

But, my strategy synopsis is a valid strategy that is used. A good fighting strategy should have those elements. This might be a good way to scenario train and work on all those elements (e.g., timing, distance, broken rhythm, etc.).

Judging by how South Koreans fight in their parliament, I can believe that was real:

In comparison, Taiwanese parliament fights are lame:

Indian parliament's kinda awesome. I can't find the clip now but I once saw someone there giving a speech and probably a hundred microphones were thrown at the guy almost simultaneously.

If you think that is real give up training now

Not most likely. Guaranteed.

If you can't plainly see it from the performers... watch the guy in the white sash at 1:35.

Thanks, now I see him clearing the stage from the good samaritans. That plus at 3:39, the officer is dragging him off stage, takes his hat off, and they both sit down unsecured (no police car).

Before it was so boring, I was skipping through it, half watching. I thought it was just a couple drunk guys.

My guess would be they were shooting a TV show or film.

I believe you're right. Probably a soap opera.

Here are a few images of filming scenes with a policeman.

Regarding the original video. Looks very staged as movements and reactions are way too clean even for the "drunkards". Plus, police uniforms are way off. I have lived in South Korea, those are costumes, and as someone mentioned, no police cars/lights.

American police would have shot both of them on the spot.
