First Band You Saw Live

This goes back to the late 60's.

My Dad worked for IBM in upstate New York and IBM had a huge recreational center for its employees and that is where they played. I must have been 13 years old and I remember being amazed that such a great band was playing locally. LOL.

Ebba Grön, legendary Swedish punk-rock band that super big in Sweden. Was not really a fan but they had a gig at the local youth-center so me and the rest of the pack went there....I pretty sure scenes in this vid is from just that gig http://v.youku.com/pad_show/id_XMjI5MzY ... 25C3%25B6n

Zeppelin at Knebworth, first show, 1979.
I was 16, never been to any kind of "music concert" before. In at the deep end... :)

1983: Sammy Hagar (Three Lock Box tour) and Night Ranger (Dawn Patrol tour).
Parents said I couldn't go, but I snuck out and went anyway. Next morning mom was livid, dad was surprised (you went?!?).

They were great. 8-)

Intensity, anger and a whole lot of heart. Nowadays many have lost their hearts and are only angry. :'(
Maybe we should try to play more of this kind of music to bring back at least a little bit of heart to the people?

Almost went to see these guys during their tour of the USSR in 1977, but we ended up listening to them from the outside...

The first actual live concert was Peter Gabriel in Vienna, the whole 15 years later. (Which was an absolutely mind-blowing experience...)
