I do mostly older, "strong man" lifting . This is similar to Olympic lifting, but without the ballistic movements or dropping of weights (the ability to return the weight to the floor builds control and usually incorporates an eccentric contraction). In this regard I also teach sledge hammer exercises, Indian clubs, Meel, kettlebells (old style, not the Russian style that is currently popular), and stone lifts. So yes, both are a part of the program.
