Looks like is not the same as is...
A common reaction, even more pronounced when encountering those who have greater skill levels.
Have felt that, if shown here would look the same... A common reaction is laughing feeling that one is trying to catch up with their balance point
The reactions shown are common,,,for those working with the same concepts most can do some of it, although maybe not to the same level...
Those that come to train, are not for the most part coming to learn how to "fight" IME most visiting my teacher had many, many yrs of experience in other CMA arts some quite skilled. They came to feel something different, some staying trying to gain an understanding of what they felt...
The work is quite surprisingly physical, to reconnect the body in a different way....the hardest part the "mind"
When told not to
不用力,用意.
do not use force, use intention
takes a while to understand what this means....
mmm,,MMA doesn't work maybe wingchun
In this video, Ben Cohen analyzes Sifu Adam Mizner,INTERNAL WING CHUNWhat say the many here,,,,
One time the father of a guy, asked me to try some chi sao with his son " first time trying chi sao" probably not chi sao from my end...
In his mid 20s, his father felt he was quite good at wingchun..mentioned he was very soft and sensitive.
The son was unable to do his chi sao stuff,,,he felt very rigid and angular, although as his father mentioned he was supposed to be quite good at wingchun..
I suppose if he had a "structure" to work against his skill would be quite good,,finding none, there was none to apply it to.
Mentioning this only to illustrate one should test their own work, not claiming any great skill
Did get injured by a sambo guy once, who tried to take out my knee....
Took awhile for it to heal up,,,at the time it happened, made sure to not show any pain while tossing him out, with a smile .
lesson learned sometimes what some say is a friendly test may not be..
