A long while back in a sports bar at lunch, empty except me and friend of mine discussing martial approaches..
He a BJJ practitioner, said he felt he could take anyone on, on his back ....asking if I would like to try...
He got down his back,,much like in the video,,,I picked up a chair,,he asked what I was doing
told him i was going to use it on him...
Is it a valid method, could be if trained as such which they do...
The entering for single leg takedown among the practitioners is quite fast, covers a lot of ground, very surprising
for those not aware of it thinking they can just avoid it using distance.
Depending on level of practitioner and your own. It's not really possible..
As those who practice it know, its very unexpected and sudden.
Mentioned in the clip "I can't argue with the strategy of any fighter"
If it works, it works...meaning that someone had to train to make it so...
The fight itself was interesting
poignant remarks.. By Ali, concerning his strategy
