uh I don't understand. once I click the little orange button on the left, it jumps to the latest post that I haven't read yet. and then it marks it as read automatically. or I just click on the thread and it also marks it as read automatically....
maybe you're just using your back button on your browser, so it's not reloading the previous forum?

It does mark the thread, but not the forum unless ALL threads are marked as 'read'. I.e. on the old board it was an "OR" (i.e. the rule was "mark forum read if ANY of the new threads were read"), but here it's "AND" (i.e. the rule is "mark forum read if ALL of the new threads were read")

Here's the "test sequence":
 • Wait until more than one unread thread appears in a forum.
 • Enter the forum and click on one of the unread threads (the orange box or the title, doesn't matter).
 • Go back to the forum and reload the page.
Results: on the old site, the forum is marked as 'read'; here, the forum remains as 'unread'.

Hope that makes more sense...

'URL' button -- would be awesome if, in addition to wrapping the selected text (as it does now), it popped up the Javascript 'prompt' thing to enter the URL, which would then go into the 'url=' portion. E.g. I type "go to Google", select that text and click the 'url' button -- prompt pops up, I enter http://google.com, and the result is:
Code: Select all
go to Google

Shouldn't be too hard, if you have javascript control for when those buttons are clicked...

that's actually my biggest gripe with the curret set up, but we're still looking for a mod, and the large img resize mod is still not working properly. it was working yesterday afternoon and then quit for no reason. the most frustrationg thing is it's still working on flkf.

Can we get a freebie avatar gallery here? It looks like there isn't one. I miss my Sonic hedgehog. :(

reposted cos its annoying the hell out of me hahaha. i realise that you can click board index but if you leave it for a second it jumps back to the forum which is pointless. why would you want to mark all posts as read then go back and read them? haha

thanks again!
