As I have read on several FB sites, Luo Bangzhen, Benjamin Luo, the 1st disciple of ZMQ in TW has passed on.
Met him once shortly, after his transplant, unable to get involved, but a nice guy!
May he rest in peace.

Took a few workshops with him. He was a skilled practitioner and made you work hard. Even when he was lecturing he would make the audience stand in zhang zhuan.

He was a great tai chi practitioner and teacher. My dad sent me to his camps a couple of times. Even got to stay at his house (and failed to try to learn more tai chi, unfortunately).

He did pretty well if he lived 20 years after that

R.I.P. Never had a chance to meet him or his students, but from the article seems like he had real skill.

R.I.P.

Don't know much about him at all, he has been more or less just a name. But recently there has been a few discussions where his name has come up, so I tried to do a bit of research. I've only heard good things about him as a teacher and practitioner.

I read this article just for a few weeks ago. I like it, it's a very nice portrait of the man that gives a sense about his philosophy and how he taught. 8-)

It's hard to find video clips with this gent. This "Tai Chi with Ben Lo 2004" vid has an old documentary style which makes it look more like something recorded in the early 1980s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12K2fxfuvvQ
From 1.25 to 2.35 there are short glimpses of Ben teaching. He looks very relaxed and seem to have good following skill.
