I think that one needs to understand that there are different practices for different skill development. If one is training sensitivity, listening, balance/unbalance the training methods are often slow and "soft". If one is training timing, distance, speed, force generation, joint locking, striking, tripping, etc., the practice is often faster and harder.

In assessing a teacher demonstrating or teaching, it is helpful to identify what sort of skills are being taught and demonstrated. For example, there are many examples of Feng performing actions slowly and softly without much force.

Taichi Chen have a part very slow to train and feel
And them apply in real

Taichi yang is more sensitive and slow and subtil

But for example master mizner why not showing in real sparring where the opponent charging with no convenience

Because with 100% convinience the danger is to make the master like a magician or a gourou that has super power

Real application help to stay in human reality
