Internal Fighting Arts podcast interview

So I was interviewed for Ken Gullette's Internal Fighting Arts podcast recently. It's now online to listen to, if you want to waste an hour listening to me rabbit on about martial arts then the link is below. (Warning, I can talk about this stuff for DAYS!)

We start talking about what it's like starting BJJ later in life, then move on to Chinese martial arts like Tai Chi, Choy Lee Fut and XingYi and if they are still relevant today. It's a very wide-ranging discussion over far too many topics, but hopefully, you find something in it that's interesting.

I wish I'd talked slower and had a better mic, but thanks to Ken Gullette for editing it so well to make me at least sound coherent (I hope).

We really need to make a cheaper version of that book. Paperback and with better pictures. Who knows, maybe he will one day actually finish the snake book.... I doubt it though!

Tom wrote:$26.54 US for a new hardcover from Amazon Services .... I think Jeremy Mills must have worked out some kind of POD arrangement with Amazon. Still essentially the same high-quality prnting as the original printing run at $90 US (my first copy was lent to several people and seems to have disappeared like a Spizaetus nipalensis before the swoop and strike ... Completing the series .... a couple of thoughts: 1) it would be much better served by a production through a service like Vimeo where text could be paired with short point-specific video clips; and 2) Josef should manage the production since he seems to have drawn Damon out so successfully on their separate Woven Energy venture.

I imagine Paul and Joe will eventually get to shooting the book applications as video, making it part of their website... although they're only up to documenting the 5 elements and they're shooting linking sequences next year, so it's going to take them a while... ;D

The chances of Damon appearing on a public video on the Internet are practically zero though. Unless he's had a massive change of heart.

Just finished listening to it this morning and enjoyed it. Coincidentally, I attended my first ever BJJ class last week, at the age of 36... I was happy just to get out uninjured :D
