You throw a punch, your opponent steps back, your punch miss and hit the thin air. Since you won't know whether your opponent can get away from your punch, you will punch him the same way.

So you train to miss? Point is, impact will change the way you punch, so best to train with impact

Grappling, striking , just plain stepping, if you’re not connected to your core you are not at full strength. No, striking does not depend on explosive outwards force, it is equally dependent on pulling inward equal forces creates full force, grappling cannot pull in without the completeness or pushing forward, a rear naked choke tightens by the spine pushing away from the force of the arm contracting. The hand is a loose leaf not connected to the elbow and the arm is a hanging branch not connected to the shoulder and so on. To be proficient in the art and f fighting is contingent on knowing othe r arts only in as far as knowing your opponent. Knowing your art in totality is the only way to complete fight skills. To know grappling strength study the anaconda and the art is of constricting.
The point . is absolute
