Generic entering

If you assume 1:1 super hypothetical unarmed context,

- what entry would work well if you don't know if the other person has no skill or massive skill?
- so you need to do something that instantly works in the first case
- something that has easy adjustment if you instantly detect skill
- e.g. maybe BL would say side kick or lead straight.
- maybe Xyq says piquan
- for this question, assume do nothing is not valid

Boxing's answer is the left jab. It's a pretty good one.

It the signals are right, you follow it up with the right cross (the classic one-two). If they aren't, you dance.

It's sort of the boxing Pawn to King Four.

I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.

I like to use the following 3 methods which cover 3 different situations. Assume you always have right leg forward.

1. Uniform stance left side door entry - Right punch. your opponent blocks with right. Right hand pull his right wrist, left hand pull his right elbow, right hand enter.
2. Uniform stance front door entry - Left downward parry, right upward comb hair, left arm wrap, right hand enter.
3. Mirror stance right side door entry - Right hook punch. left arm wrap, right hand enter.

Option 1: Look over there! Kick the balls and run.
Option 2: Shell/Cover head, kick leading leg, crash them with elbow points

Guess the appropriate response is situational.

It doesn't matter whether it's from behind or the side. "Generically," the best attack (for me) is one that the opponent does not see, and that puts me at least risk. So, the specifics will depend on the actual circumstances. But, the goal is a sure fire attack. Ok, I know, everybody wants a fair fight, right?

reach out and touch them right between the eyebrows, while stepping to a forward 45. if the block grab it and work from there, if they don't knock them out

I like to square up, duck behind my hands, then sort of jazz hands them a little but leaving them in place I step around them to my left to get hip to hip, then it's just an easy throw I can do as fast slow gentle or rough as I like.

Drilling up against their arm/gaurd is good too, if you rub right you can turn their arm and spin them around to get the back.

Or splitting down, bridging with the lead hand to pull down the gaurd then following with the other hand.
