Taiji golden rooster stance

Have you ever tried to use the Taiji "golden rooster stance" to lift your opponent up and off the ground?

- Left hand hold on your opponent's leading left leg.
- Right hand wrap around his waist.
- Put right knee under his hip (or left upper leg).
- Lean to your left and left him up and off the ground.

It's great balance training with a lot of fun. Your thought?

Crow weep in the dark. Tide bellow in the north wind. How lonesome the world.

Sounds like a good exercise/practice, but doesn't have anything to do, really, with the Taiji move/posture "Rooster...". The primary similarity is that both are done while on one foot. Otherwise, the actions and intent are quite different.

Hello, I'd like to maintain a 'cool post count' of 108 posts. This particular post has gone beyond that number and has therefore expired.

I'm sorry if you were looking for some old information but I'll do my best to answer you if you send me a DM with a question in it.
