I made one remark on the site
Tia chi (one family)mission
Saying that what was shown was just poor western boxing
I was immediately erased from the site
I just want those that write here and there to realise that

What do you mean that Taiji look like poor western boxing?

It was showing a technique for practicing brush knee
It was just a cross from western boxing not done very well
But that is not the point

The point is only showing those who agree with you and those on the site not knowing that it is happening

Well the mods on that Facebook group definitely have an agenda and viewpoint that doesn't tolerate much dissent.

It doesn't help that the person in the video in question is the main (only?) mod.

That particular group is highly censored. Less than half of my posts ever even make it out of the moderation queue. It's a joke, honestly.

Tai Chi Connection is a little more open, almost to a fault, honestly.

Taiji striking. Brush knee with palm and fist. sample from the up and coming membership site. (still under construction).

So not just an agenda, but a business plan...

Sites like RSF are generally a rarity on the net.

Virtually everything else is a business.

When people get free access to something on the net, it is because they are the product not the customer. If you do something that hurts the bottom line you get blocked/censored/dropped.

This is why the current situation with twitter, facebook, instagram, etc. is so interesting. They are engaging in censorship that actually hurts their bottom line. Since these are businesses that are based upon popularity, and not an end product, it is a matter of time until they are replaced by different platforms. The fact that the business managers in charge of the businesses don't have the ability to moderate this behavior is interesting.

Saw that comment. You (Wayne) wrote something similar to what I was thinking. I wrote something but took it away a few seconds later. I try to not be so blunt.

Funny how everyone speaks about tai chi mechanics and demonstrate principles of rooting and whole body movement in their forms. But as soon as they try to hit something most of them immediately lose it all. Or they do something completely different. ;D

I try to be a little more diplomatic most of the time
Sometimes you just have to say it how it is
People worry about the state of tai chi but aide and abet those that are on the road to its destruction
There were many great practitioners in the generation above me
Sadly they are dropping like flies
I hope there are some in the generation to follow
I don't hold much hope

Yeah RSF is great! No agenda here, just people who like to talk about CMA (and related things). A great holdover from the pre-social media days.

Must find other places to use for procrastination when there's not so much new posts on the RSF. But this is clearly the favourite spot. Here people can meet, speak and discuss even if they don't agree with everything. They are also allowed to be critical. The attitude and atmosphere here is awesome. Obviously because of the members and Admins. 8-)

I use this site and a couple of others for an information gathering site
People here search out YouTube clips that I don't have the time for
I only train an hour a day these days and only teach a few classes a week
Being retired I find that time is not a big concern
