that was hilarious. who says capoeira isn't useful? looks like the guy got poked in the eye

handstand - nah, was asking about an actual cartwheel
amateur practices til gets right pro til can't get wrong
/ better approx answer to right q than exact answer to wrong q which can be made precise /

I have tried this in various arrangements and can only pull it off with newbies. If you can get the suprise factor or the set up right I think you can be moderatly successful, but against seasoned grapplers your going to get stuffed or worse.

I agree, when you're passing you have to control their legs somehow, if both your hands are doing a cartwheel that's not possible.

The handstand guard pass does work well against the butterfly guard because you're controlling them as you do it. I saw Junie Browning pull if off in the finals of the Ultimate Fighter last night.

It's just like anything else: if you train it as a signature move of yours, you'll likely get it down enough to use against anyone. I personally wouldn't use it as a bread and butter pass but that's me. Your style may be different and that's fine.
