Ooooohhh... That makes sense. That being said, since this is a two-handed style of swordsmanship and the every day objects that could be used in this way are baseball bats, canes, short staves etc. I reckon that the blows would also have a devastating effect. If it's a rattan stick then I'd agree 100% but even a rattan staff would do more damage due to the extra power from the extra leverage and weight. What do you think? Definitely worth contemplating...
This is one of my favor sword strategies - press and slide along my opponent's sword while moving in from the side. I like to feel where my opponent's sword is when I attack.
