diameter of one thigh is normally much larger that the wrist and foreman;
add the size of waist, the ratio become larger

I believe that they believe it.
In my previous art we did stuff that relied on suggestion and expection. This was explicit, we didn’t pretend it was ch’i or anything like that; but we had to ‘play the role’ of a committed attacker for it work. On the one hand this makes perfect sense, on the other hand it creates some very interesting dynamics over the years and, suffice it to say, while I never saw anything like this specifically, I could easily imagine it happening.

This is clearly a training scenario, and there isn’t a real life situation that mirrors it (like, at all), but I can’t think of any situation where any variation of this would work against someone who wasn’t part of this group.
