winter footwear

Hi all

I apologise in advance if this is considered off-topic. All Spring and Summer I have practiced in a meadow amoung cherry trees, through blossom, fruit, and now leaf fall. My footwear is barefoot running shoes, which are great when it's sunny. When the dew is on the long grass my feet get soaked, and now the cold and rain has started I want some footwear for the winter. Something that keeps the rain out, but is flexible enough and well-secured enough for energetic kicks ;-)

Does anybody have any recommendations? Ideally I would like thin soles, waterproof uppers, and something which comes up my calf to stop the water getting in.

What do you train in when the weather becomes inclement?

kind regards

Matt

i train in Timberland work boots in winter, they are waterproof and fairly snowproof as well.
