Hsing Ping Jeng lived a full life and died peacefully on February 27, 2021 at 89. He was a strong, charismatic man who came to the US from Taiwan at age 40, not speaking English, with only $100 in his pocket and a belief in the American dream. He worked 2-3 jobs simultaneously for years to support his family and make college a reality for his children. He brought Shuai Jiao, China's martial art of wrestling, to the US and helped establish its presence. For over 30 years, he enjoyed teaching Shuai Jiao to his students from all walks of life. He had a passion for life, a talent for storytelling and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, students and those whose lives he touched.

89 is a long life.

I still remember one day Jeng said in Austin, "If anybody can take me down once, I'll give that person a black belt." One of my 250 lb Iran wrestler tested on him and could not take him down. Nobody had ever received a black belt from him this way yet.

One day he beat up a robbery in NYC. Later on that robbery sued him in the court and lose.
