There's the Liang Zhenpu book, by Li Ziming. It has a lot of the old bagua songs and sayings in it.

The method of practicing this boxing art is nothing more than opening and closing, passive and active. The subtlety of the art is based entirely upon their alternations. Chen Xin

There's also 'Pa-kua Chang for Self-defense' by Lee Ying-arng and Yen Te-hwa.

There is the Pa Kua Chang Journal (38 issues).

It may be possible that many bagua masters were illiterate so there would be someone else "Ghost Writing" them as over 90% of the Chinese population was most likely illiterate at that time.

Some of the early masters who wrote books included:

Sun Lutang (Cheng style; disciple of Cheng Tinghua)
Sun Xikun (Cheng style; disciple of Cheng Youlong)
Ren Zhicheng (Yinyang bapanzhang)
Yin Yuzhang (Yin style; son of Yin Fu)
Cao Zhongsheng (Yin style; disciple of Yin Fu)
Jiang Rongqiao (Cheng style; disciple of Zhang Zhaodong)
Yan Dehua (Cheng style; disciple of Zhou Yuxiang)
etc...

Early modern times had many new authors, like:

Li Ziming (Liang style; disciple of Liang Zhenpu)
Liu Xinghan (Cheng style; disciple of Liu Bin)
Zhang Lie (Yin style; disciple of Chi Shixin)
Etc.

Of course there was an explosion of more books after that...

Martial art books on any style certainly have their place, particularly as reference works related to whatever we personally practice, but they can never replace live instruction from a competent teacher with expert hands on skills. ;)

Alex Kozma published a variety of books on the topic and at least one by He Jing Han. I have no idea if any of those are still available, but I remember the ones by He Jing Han being especially good.
