true... but the writer seems to have no clue about the Confucian hierarchy, how one expresses humility, etc. would be worth at least a sentence to give some context... Suppose Sun Lutang was "better" than his teachers. He wouldn't actually say that. He tried to write about his teachers so they wouldn't be forgotten, then he tried to say he humbly tries to pass on what he managed to work out. things like that.

it would come across better in an outline like this:

- confucian etc etc is like this - 1/4 of the world's population, one of the longest continuous ancient cultures etc etc
- taken out of context, not understood ... this can happen
- that is not good because of
- this
- this
- this

sun's humility may have been real, but replace "sun" with any other name you like and you get the gist.

other than that, kind of a rant that makes sense, sure.
