Who nows something about Wang Xin-Wu

Dear colleagues,

actually I am working on a book about the 48 frame.

As far as I could trace a team of three masters created the form.

Unfortunately I could not trace Wang Xin-Wu his background.

In this video Wang Xin-Wu is called a student of Fu Zhongweng, but I could not proof this.

Has anybody some information ?

I learnt this form from my friend Fong Lee before Erls first trip to China
Fong learnt it directly from the creator
He gave me a book by the guy but I think he did some hard style
The history erle gives here is just wrong
It was developed not for its ease but to combine the 5 major styles so all styles could compete in Wu shu
Bow Sim Mark did an even earlier combined form

Always thought that the 48 form was mostly put together by Li Deyin and Men Huifeng, first time I am hearing the name Wang Xinwu in connection with this.

There was a Yang style master also called Wang Xinwu who studied with Xu Yusheng (Yang Jianhou's student), but he died in the 1960s, so cannot be this teacher.

There are many unsung heroes of taijiquan and Wang Xinwu et al was a creator of Synthetic Taijiquan aka 48shitaijiquan!
I learned it in the early 80s for competition bak then but it fell into "disuse" (it didn't play welll at competitions ) when the 40shitaijiquan and 42shitaijiquan began to be more popular then the 48 Form (New Taijiquan aka Beijing 48 Taijiquan)

When there is disagreement with the Party structure, certain individuals or groups are isolated, ignored (for any trumped up reason) so they fall out of sight due to lack of popularity.
66shitaijiquan didn't play well either! I did see the Erle Montague clip many years ago and I was surprised that he was able to film at that time.
