I went through blood oath with my teacher; I could if I wanted to.
So far I haven't.

I was being asked to describe exercises before, not feelings. If you recall.

do we have to do feelings?

what you guys have to realise and dare i say respect
is that I took a blood oath to not reveal the "secrets" of the school

unless I suppose, if you are part of the school.
And even then, it will take a while to even begin; the proper stuff.

Believe it or not, I do reveal a fair bit. in a round about way
over the course of time, possibly at more than one location.
it has been a while.

by all means make fun of it
just remember I'm a wizard ;)

the other week when I posted the little book of hercules.. I did post some stuff I recall, in terms of exercises for example.
I went back after a bit and removed things that just didn't feel right to me at the time.

what can I tell you. this stuff is not clear cut to be fair. you start a relationship with the absolute. and it can "speak" to you. and of course you speak to it at times.
I pray for example, but also dialogue.
I don't hear voices or anything like that. you might argue it's just sub conscious and it may well be. it sometimes would feel like "downloads", or even upgrades..

people will think you are bonkers if you just tell all this to anyone though.

sometimes I need to hide it in real life, because of the way It can make you sometimes. I'm a family man and need to keep a lid on it.
mostly from my Mrs

damn I've said too much!

No, it's ok to have a religion, but martial arts is not a religion.

Well cloudz I don't want to be a wizard. I want to be a Tai Chi master. They're two different things. I think this really speaks to the topic of the thread in it's essence.

No problem Applodog, it wasn't an invite.

I do jnana yoga and tai chi chuan amongst other things.
Someone called me a wizard and I'm having fun with it.

Do you know why ?
If you knew what jnana Yoga was you would. It's a shame you didn't bother to find out anything about it before you jumped in with both feet.

It's the path of knowldge (wisdom)
the direct path
Sometimes knows as the razors edge.
It's not for everyone.

It is an internal art amongst others.

what you do is your business and what I do is mine.
I'm sure you'll agree.

good luck with your internal
jnana yoga is not for you. But it may be for other brave souls.

There is no path to it as such, it's the path of no path really. It's about self inquiry of the most intense kind possible. Most people just can't handle it. Which is why there should most definitely be a screening process and care employed selecting those you invite to give it to. There are 3 more paths in Yoga so it doesn't matter one bit. Find yours or choose something else, there's plenty to choose from.

Not sure why you are coming off this way, maybe you are offended in some way, i don't know. I didn't mean to offend you at all by my practices.

take care please, you seem like a good fellow.

You said it wasn't an invite, but it feels like one because you keep promoting it, lamenting how others aren't involved and stating that it is a pity how it is not for x, y or z people. That's all fine -- I've looked into Yoga. It's interesting, but I made a choice to do other things. Call it fate. Call it karma. I believe everything happens for a reason. That's all I'm saying. I don't want to learn Yoga. I want to learn Tai Chi :) There is a huge opportunity cost in getting "seriously" involved in any one of these disciplines. I don't think it is realistic to maintain a foot in the secular world and do two things seriously. I can barely manage one.

Not offended I'm just wondering how we got onto the topic of wizards. By the way, a true wizard is never offended. Nor is he pleased. He always feels exactly as he means to :)

I don't have a horse in this race, but Classical Yoga training includes eight different, yet related paths to Union with God, not four. They are collectively referred to as the Eight Limbs of Yoga or Ashtanga in Sanskrit. Jnana Yoga is one of the Eight Limbs.

The sun has gone down and the moon has come up
and long ago, somebody left with the cup,
but he's driving, and striving, and hugging the turns,
and thinking of someone for whom
he
still
burns....
He's going the distance!

that may be Doc
but there are 4 types of yoga, please see this article for what I was referring to. Maybe you just were not aware of , so consider yourself further educated and please read it before you go off half cocked making a fool of yourself.
https://isha.sadhguru.org/yoga/new-to-y ... s-of-yoga/

4 types of yoga for 4 aspects
These are the only four realities in your life: body, mind, emotion, and energy. Whatever you wish to do with yourself, it must be on these four levels. Whatever you wish to do, you can only do it with your body, your mind, your emotions or your energy. If you use your emotions and try to reach the ultimate, we call this bhakti yoga. That means the path of devotion. If you use your intelligence and try to reach the ultimate, we call this gnana yoga. That means the path of intelligence. If you use your body, or physical action to reach the ultimate, we call this karma yoga. That means the path of action. If you transform your energies and try to reach the ultimate, we call this kriya yoga. That means internal action
