The Five Elements form?
Linking together the generation of the five elements. Its gong is deep and scholarly. It is not just weaving together the elements in a generating order.
There are five elements, but each element has multiple variations.
PI Quan (metal)
Stepping forward, Stepping backward, Shaking body, Turning body & Plucking hand
Zuan Quan (Water)
Forward, Advancing, Retreating, Weaving, Turning, Twisting & Plucking.
Beng Quan (Wood)
Left, Forward, Backward, Body shaking, Body turning, Cross Shaped,
Step through leg, Right leg & Pulling hand leg
Pao Quan (Fire)
Twist Step, Forward step Backward step, Weaving body, Turning body
Consecutive steping & Pulling hand
Heng Quan (Earth)
Twisted step, Forward step, Backward step, Shaking body, Turning body, Smooth
& Plucking.
Multiple variations of the Element should be inserted in the Wu Xing/Mother fist generation cycle, paying attention to the natural guards, parry’s and shields’ that manifest while moving from one element to another. throws, reeps and sweeps to include chin-na within the various elements, a step is a kick, know what stepping in what element corresponds to what kick..
