I expect all crescent kick should be at least shoulder high (if not head high). Don't know how old he was when he did this form. I may expect better flexibility than this even for his old age (70? 75? 80? ,,,).

I don't think he's thinking of a crescent kick there, but it's a place you could put one, possibly.
