yes.
Sometimes it is good to explain everything in detail to the students. Other times, it is good to be terse on purpose so their mind works to figure out the meaning of the phrase. This is one reason why certain books are read more and more: with each reading the reader discovers something new in the book, something new about the world and something new about him/herself.
We all learn in different manners and even for the same person, we benefit from different approaches of the same subject. Now, if as a teacher you are good at a certain style of teaching only, IMO, you should stick to it and only deviate from it as needed, on a case by case basis. There is no preset formula, everything depends on the context. Flow with the go!
