Last week I was running around Austin Town Lake, I saw a beautiful girl did this kind of walking. The difference was she did not walk in low stance but walked in regular stance and then sank down, raised up, and then made another step. People didn't pay much attention on her. What she did was not different from some body trainer would teach average people how to get back in shape or lose weight.

I think it's funny when dogs run up to me (as if finding a very suspicious person) when I am walking in circles...

I have been known to practice drunken boxing footwork in public...on my way home from the boozer, that is.

As for walking low basin in public: Why not?

But I DO draw the line at skipping through the Canadian forest like an ogre crossed with a wood-elf. That's just damned silly.

I did my "low stance walking" along the Austin town lake trail the other day. Someone saw me and tried to copied it. That person ends with pulling leg muscle and it's over 2 weeks now and still not fully recover yet. I just can't figure out how can "low stance walking" cause leg muscle pulling.

..."You may do it extempore, for it is nothing but roaring." ;D (Quince, to Bottom)

Remember, if you ever set up the Scottish Play, you need to take part in or set up Midsummer Night´s Dream as a counter-jinx (even if it´s in an amateur production). That will set the world right again, and avoid curses on your acting and your career. :)

Edited: Shakespeare actually included advice for this thread, by the way:

Puck: "How now, spirit, whither wander you?"
Fairy: "Over hill, over dale, through bush, through brier, over park, over pale, through flood, through fire, I do wander everywhere, swifter than the moon´s sphere..."

The Elizabethans knew circle-walking, obviously.

D.

Sarcasm. Oh yeah, like that´ll work.

in my dojo we used this type of walking too,
its excellent legs training
doesn`t look like something hard
but
in fact for untrained person it is...
When i /after long breake/ started it again i get this feeling :)

I walked this way thru NYC park , but nobody look at me weird way nor try to copy
well,
in NYC you need zomthing more...

I think that beautiful women are sort of allowed to do what they like... in other words, doing a weird athletic practice is coupled with your looks and manner to ultimately decide whether you are a weirdo or not.

For example:

Low stance walking + Chinaman with long ponytail or moustache + pink shorts = weirdo
Low stance walking + beautiful girl + nice clothes = not weirdo

Maybe :D

Shawn-

Is there a reason Mr. He walks in such a heavy fashion? Why not use lighter stepping? Thanks.
