I don't think this is meant to be humorously.

Graham, your video was an absolute riot. It reminded me of me very first demo some 17 years ago, which was accompanied by a little blond girl about the same age as your daughter. I was (trying to) doing the form while she was right at my feet, arms held up toward me and using her considerable powers of persuasion (up......up......up) to distract me.
She also won. I stopped and picked her up before finishing. Thanks for helping me remember that.
She's 18 now and throws the hammer and discus farther than most of the boys on her high school track team.
so I went to the biggest mirror I have and checked my posture. Yep, I can still do it.
I'll even dare to be controversial, and speak the unspeakable:
Nice form...you good

how ever it is for various traditions for my horse stance with thighs parallel my toes must turn out a few degrees or my knees tell me to fuck off lol.

for my practice

high horse stance i keep feet parallel
low horse stance i keep me toes turned out a few degrees

this works for me.

One of my bagua teachers also told me to do horse stance with knees turned out for safety reasons. He said it's easy to wreck the knees and he didn't want his students getting hurt. My teacher prior to that always wanted our knees straight ahead--in the traditional manner. Both teachers taught to practice low stances.
So Bruce, FWIW, I guess your body knows best and you are practicing in the best manner for you.
