Kreese and Walk the Torque-

yeah, that sweep was extremely hard to see. it also felt like that- so sublte, it was like a quick breeze, not a chop to the ankle. those guys gave me a true appreciation for a soft touch.

Hi Pat
My experience with wreslers is litle bit different than yours,
/in my judo days we had wresling school near by and we sparr from time to time/
...
when we was both in gi, wresler had no chance with me or my judo frends,
it was relativly easy to win /score clean ippon by throw/
but when we try to spar w/o gi...
it was really hard and wreslers were able to throw us
and
in ground work we had no chance
they simply overhelming us by power - /not to mention different sets of rules/- they training routine was more for "raw" power oriented - much more of "pumping iron" exe. than we did.

My opinion is that wreslers are too stiff in standing and aren`t very good example of "rooting expert"

ps. very nice example of kouchi on vid.,
timing is most important factor of good sweep.

Wiesiek, thanks! Zdenek Matl, who is credited in that clip but not shown, is amazing. the guy is a complete Yoda. and a great guy and very fun to talk to, also.

when i say "wrestlers", that is anyone who wrestles IE judo, sambo, greco, shuai chiao, etc. not just the western free-style. and agreed on the jacket thing. it depends on whose game you are playing.

but as far as maintaining balance, using and taking balance away, all that good stuff, any experienced wrestler will a good base.

the best people i have experienced at it were shuai chiao and judo masters. they do it all the time, and have years of experience and training. but that is just my narrow experience.

to me, it's like asking "who are the best swimmers- people who do it all the time, or people who don't?"
