You mean with his camera?

When you say that to a Yank it comes out differently.

Yes a big one that had to rest on his shoulder...... A former boss of mine was/is an part time photographer, as an advertisement for his business he had a slogan -‘don’t shoot me I’ll shoot you’

Yeah we generally shoot first and ask later so to seek permission confuses us.

What about drunk passersby challenging you to fights to show you "the real Chinese Gongfu"? Happened to me at least twice - in one year - in Heilongjiang.

Years and years ago in the Karate Dojo(in Sweden)
It was summer and quite warm the teacher had opened the big door that faced the street.
While the teacher was showing us the next technique to practice a very longed haired crazy looking guy comes rushing in Kiai’ing Kiiiiiiiai!! And throw off some crazy looking kicks in the air, the rushes out as quick he came in....everyone burst out laughing........I recognized the guy from years back in my neighborhood, he was one of those youngster that got caught up doing heavy drugs....he played in a band and was a good drummer back then.

I used to teach in a park. Once, after a training, I came out of a supermarket laden with groceries and a guy said "hey, you're the kung fu guy. What would you do if I punched you in the head, right now?" My response of "probably fall down" wasn't the answer he was looking for.
