Hey everyone, I've been reading posts here for the last couple of weeks so I feel like I should introduce myself.

My name is Mat, I'm 30 and currently living in London, and have been doing bagua and hsing i for about four years. I took up chi gung, taichi and bagua to sort myself out after getting a stress related repetitive strain injury from work, which worked where six months of seeing specialists had failed. I soon stopped doing taichi and concentrated on bagua, which seems to suit my personality more, and enjoyed it enough to stick with it. I took up hsing i a while afterwards, and was really taken with it's direct martial approach - It doesn't take much stretch of the imagination to figure out how to apply crushing fist - And I currently regard it as the core of my martial practise, whereas bagua gives me a deeper emotional and psychological workout.

I've spent a lot of the last few years travelling which has meant a few long periods of practising by myself, but I've been fortunate to have really awesome teachers during the times I've actually been in one place! My bagua is therefore a bit of a hybrid, though my hsing i is pretty traditional. I'm not really fussed with style or lineage - just what works!

That's me - I might post once in a while, but being a relative beginner I don't feel like I have that much to contribute :)

Hi everyone.

I've been training Chinese martial arts for about 11 years. I used to practice modern wushu and Yang Taiji, then I practiced Chen Taiji and now I've moved on to Bajiquan

Hi all, I'm William and I have studied Yang style Taijiquan on and off since the late 90's. My new love is Chen style but where to find a qualified teacher..... none by me. I've been learning from dvd's books and seminars. Hope to learn the real thing someday soon.

Hi there - my real name is Cecil, and I've been studying Tai Chi and Bagugazhang for two years now. It just seemed like the right thing to do, and it has changed my life. I'm also going to begin studying Tai Chi sword (the jiang) later this year.

Nice to meet everyone!

My name is Scott Pennykid and I live in Vancouver, BC. I'm practicing Tchoung Ta Tchen's Yang Style Tai Ji Quan. I've only been at it for 6 weeks now and am lovin' every minute of it. My teacher is Tim Glasheen, a senior student of Tchoung's that was left in charge of the school after Tchoung's passing. Master Tchoung's tai ji is old Yang with CMC influences. Our zhan zhuang comes from Wang Shu-jin.

I love xing yi and I'm ashamed to say that I'm learning it exclusively from Luo Dexiu's youtube videos.

I studied Fu Style Internal Arts with Victor Fu for 4 or 5 years, and various qi gong methods with Liang Shou-yu when my finances allowed it.

Anyhoodilydoodily, I practice IMA because they are, in my opinion, the finest and coolest way to unify body, mind, and spirit.

Also, as my avatar reveals, I loves the archery.

My name's Chris. I'm living in Fairfax, VA. I just happened to stumble on ef.com browsing the net, I was on ef.net very confusing to me having both ef.net and ef.com. I love practicing any and all martial arts, I started with TKD when I was in elementary thru middle school, started in a system called Chang Wu Chi Lin from a group in the Virginia Beach area (William Varner, Wes Lammay, Charles Brown), and recently this year I started up Gao Bagua with George Wood in Fairfax.

Jesse is my name. I've been doing martial arts at Zong Wu Men since 04. Gao Bagua, Hebei Xingyi, and Chen Pan Ling Taiji from Luo Dexiu's line. Used to do some tkd, hkd, sword stuff, a little ju jitsu etc..., but really didn't know anything until I got into this school.
