Looks like mother palms, although it's labeled "Turning palms." AFAIK, no animal palms in this line of Cheng bagua.

looked like the xiao ba zhang (small 8 palms) put together (albeit slightly different than other schools).
ta zhang
tuo tian zhang
shi zi zhang zui
bai yuan shan tao
ping tui zhang
yin yang yu
finished with either their version of dan huang zhang or qing long tan jiao

now with ADDED SMOOTHOSITY! ;D

Sun uses different names for his 8 palms, but yeah, that is basically what he is doing; you missed one extra palm in between yinyangyu and qinglongtanzhao, though - they call it waikai zhuanzhang (外開轉掌) and it seems to be somewhat peculiar to their system of Cheng style (instead, they are missing zhitianhuadi).

From 3:12 it looks like ba Gua Zhuan ZHang I thought when my teacher said it is was old eight palms ( from translator so maybe wrong), the following is the pinyin written by the girl who translates from my teacher for me. My teacher is a student of Sun Zhi jun. If bruce72 still goes on this board he would probably give the best answer.

1 xia chen zhang
2 shuang tuo
3 shi zi he kou
4 qi xing
5 shuang zhuang
6 yin yang
7 qui xing zhaung
8 tui mo zhuang

Everyone calls everything something different.

Sun Zhijun calls his stationary palms old eight palms (老八掌, "laobazhang"), Cheng Youxin's lineage seems to call it basic eight palms (基礎八掌, "jichubazhang"), etc.

It is often just easier to describe the set than say its name (i.e., "eight basic techniques on the circle," "eight stationary postures held on the circle," etc.).

Sun Zhijun's eight stationary palms as given in his book:
下沉掌 (Xiachenzhang) - down sinking palms
雙托轉掌 (Shuangtuo Zhuangzhang) - double upholding turning palms
合抱掌 (Hebaozhang) - closing embracing palms ("Shizihekou" can be another name for this one)
七星轉掌 (Qixing Zhuanzhang) - seven star turning palms
雙撞轉掌 (Shuangzhuang Zhuanzhang) - double crashing turning palms
陰陽轉掌 (Yinyang Zhuanzhang) - yin yang turning palms
外開轉掌 (Waikai Zhuanzhang) - external opening turning palms
推轉掌 (Tuimozhang) - pushing turning palms

thanks for putting the English on. I have all the pinyin written down but no english translation, I was trying to go off memory but i had forgotten a few, I only see my teacher twice a year so I don't get that much chance to ask them. Its difficult when your teacher speaks no english and your chinese is very limited.
