So I'm looking to start training in the internal arts, and I'm looking for a recommendation for teachers. I have a primary interest in bagua, but would love to learn xingyi and taiji also. I'd appreciate any information that anyone can give me, as I'd like to have some information prior to chasing down teachers.

I've heard lots of good things about David Bond Chan.
Our very own Blacktaoist also seems to know what he's doing.
I don't live in NYC though, so any advice I give you may be a moot point for some reason.

Baguazhang:

There are others, too, but the above seem to have baguazhang as their "main" art.

Thanks for the suggestions, and I'll definitely check them all out, though this raises a question: Does it make more sense to find a teacher who focuses on one of the internal arts, or find one who can teaches more than one? Opinions please.

Oh, and I can't seem to find any current contact info for David Bond Chan, as he's been recommended, I'd like to check him out, would anyone know if he's still teaching/accepting new students, and if yes, how I might get in touch with him?

I would recommend Li Tai-Liang in Long Island.
He may have some students teaching in the city as well.
