Me neither, but if it is within 3 hours I can almost guarantee he will not find anyone better!

It's probably about 30-45 minutes away from Tim. I'm about an hour, and if it weren't for me being a full time college student and not being able to afford the gas I would be driving to Tim more often.

Sorry, this information is out of date. Call for class times. But Ya, Jason Tsou is still teaching baguazhang in Monterey Park. So are several others, and I would check them all. Tim Cartmell would be a good choice too, but damn Jake, what a cheerleader you've become. "None better", really?

Count -
I have touched hands with many, many teachers here in NA (cannot speak outside of it), and I can say with great confidence that the two people I have chosen to dedicate my CMA training with, are the best. It is no offense to your teacher, nor anyone else's. But I train with best! Why do you think I would chose to train with someone who lives hundreds and hundreds of miles away? I have lots of good teachers in the Seattle area, but no one who could hold Tim's jock!
Opinions are subjective though. As always I encourage people to take a look around and see what school/teacher fits him/her the best!
No more of a "cheerleader" than you are for Jason!
Cheers (not the way you are taking it ;) :D )

Hey, I didn't even promote Jason in the first place. Riverside is a bit of a truck to Jason, let alone Tim. The point is there are options you haven't met, and I don't think you can say you touched hands with Jason either. I know you met some of the best, and I'm sure Jason would suprise you. I know, once you had, you might recommend him too so I wasn't holding anything against you.

Anyway, last I heard, Tim wasn't teaching too much bagua, except to guys like you.

Marvin Quan teaches Gao style in the San Gabriel Valley. Jiang Ho Chuan is still teaching last I heard. He's old, but had training from Yin Yu Zhang among others. DeVere's teacher Gong is there as well. He also teaches a flavor of yin style. And than there are lot's of other styles available in the same area. But not everyone can drive for an hour to get to class and another hour home. Riverside has some decent martial arts available last I heard. Unfortunately I can't recommend anyone but I'm sure, with a little searching, it can be found.

Tim teaches Bagua to anyone who wants to learn. No bro, Seattle is a truck to get to Tim. If you are within driving distance nothing is a truck! Depends on how badly you want to train with the best.
As I stated in my post, there are others out there, and I encourage people to find there own best!
Cheers

Well, I'm not biking from Santa Clarita (near six flags magic mountain) but you did talk me into sending Tim an email. Maybe I will be able to go down once or twice a month....

I've worked with Tim before. The distance and my status as a pre-med student kind of keeps me from going down to train, but whenever I do I always enjoy it.
