Xing Yi in Shanghai

Postby ActiveMonkey on Thu Oct 16, 2008 10:35 pm

Hello,

decided to edit this post as I wanted to put up a better profile of Shifu in a few days time when I get back to Shanghai. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks

I agree with Shawn.
were you taking large doses of ecstacy before writing this?

Just kidding.

I'll be in Shanghai next spring.
I'd love to meet your teacher and yourself, though I doubt I'll have much time to learn from him. :)

I'll probably be in SH over spring festival. However, I can only commit myself on a shorter notice. Since I practice XingYi and Bagua myself, I'd be interested to meet you and your master. My Chinese is not perfect, but I am able to have a more or less decent conversation. If you want, pm me your contact details.

Christoph

EDIT Just see you have your email there. I'll drop you a line when I know my plans.

Anyone interested in good xing yi in Shanghai should also check out Wang Ji Zhen. He was a student of Chu Guiting, and teaches Hebei xing Yi and Yang taiji as well as LHBF. This guy is around 85 and is as tough as nails.

He has taught at Wudangshan in the past and has also studied there when he was younger, I believe. Anybody wishing to come train with him in Shanghai will be more than welcome. I must add that he is a little bit expensive but not a problem if you are only coming here for short-term. He doesn't seem to have a very good grasp of the concept of money, haha.

What's your definition of expensive?

How much does he charge?
