Looking for School in Turku, Finland

Postby Didgeridude on Mon Jun 22, 2015 3:33 am

I'll be returning to Turku in either August of September, and I have an itch to return to MA after a year off. I've heard of a Shaolin school, as well as two HEMA groups (Italian and German longsword). Anybody know any others I could look into? At this point, I don't really have many restrictions, so any suggestions would be helpful so I know what to look up.

Check Lü Baochun if you have a chance. It's Baji and Taichi, but it's a topnotch teacher.

I've seen these guys before (not the master himself, but some of his students), and their stuff looked great. However, it looks like they only hold classes in the capital- unless I'm missing something about them setting up shop in Turku, I'll have to wait on joining this school for the time being. Thanks anyway.

Ok, understood.
They have weekend and summer seminars regularly, both in Finland and in Sweden, so you don't need to take a class every week just to study this stuff.

I'm not sure where they are but 2 of Stevan Plincks best students are in Finland. Very proficient gentlemen. I'd recommend them highly.

You might want to shoot him an E-mail to find out if they teach openly and where they are but you'd be getting real gold.
