Yiquan/Dachengquan - Boston area

Postby SCMT on Sun Sep 02, 2018 6:37 pm

There use to be a Yiquan teacher in Boston Chinatown. I do not remember his name, but I am wondering if he is still in that area.

Does anyone know of a yiquan, dachengquan school in Boston Ma, or for that matter anywhere in Massachusetts

Thanks

Donald Wong. His yiquan comes from Fong Ha. I think that he's mostly a S. Mantis guy.

Is it normal for the Yiquan teachers to have a strong Mantis side ?

By the way - is Boston a nice place to live? :D Seems like housing/rent prices are over the top! Where can one live around Boston (assuming work there) that is reasonable-priced and also nice and safe?

Nice place to visit, one of my favorite cites, but I would live outside of Boston, possibly Newton. I use to live north of Boston on the North shore near Salem and west of Boston, between Framingham and Worcester

Wish I had more money, so that I had more choices! I wonder if Boston (or its suburbs, like Quincy) is a good choice for kids?

It's expensive, cold and has high taxes.

While not quite on the level of "playground of the rich" ala Manhattan and the western third of Brooklyn, it is getting there. If you don't have a high paying profession or a successful business, you will struggle to get by.

Dale Dugas lived there until just a few years ago. If you PM'd him, he might have suggestions.

Those 3 qualities are not ideal! I guess I might struggle there, but my work has a HQ there, so I was wondering! Maybe I should hold off on the applications...
