In DC area

I am going to be in the greater Washington DC Area in November. Could someone recommend any schools within a couple of blocks of metro stations. I would be happy to just observe or step on mat. I will not have my car with me so not too far. I already plan on looking at oriental art at Smithsonian. Interests are broad. I would be game to travel metro all over area.
